Façade surveys - Building Surveys

Surveys of elevations create a representation of a building which is both accurate in terms of measurement and also builds up to a visual representation of the Facade of the building .

At PCA we have conducted many measured surveys of high profile buildings such as the Gaiety, Gate and Olympia Theatre as well as The Project Arts Centre. If requested, we are also able to produce very detailed cross sections and elevational sections.

 

  Streetscape Survey

Our work includes:

  • Full streetscape elevations of Thurles town centre.
  • Elevations of the nurses school at The Mater Hospital for a historic record.
  • Full internal and elevation surveys of Belcamp College.

 

 

PCA help save a landmark

In November 2004 a truck crashed into the front of the Olympia and it's famous glass canopy from the 1890's was demolished. Fortunately it had been recorded in a detailed PCA survey.

It has since been restored, with work carried out by Heritage Engineering, who took over the foundry in Glasgow where the original canopy was made.
